Position: Cloud Migration Architect (System Engineer, Level 3)

Compensation: $181,000 – $220,000 (annualized USD)
Experience Requirement:
12+ years with a Bachelor's degree, OR
10+ years with a Master's degree, OR
4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Description
This position requires a Lead Systems Engineer to direct the development of Content Delivery Network (CDN) infrastructure through advanced AI integration. As a technical lead, you'll guide an engineering team in using large language models (LLMs) to generate and manage Terraform configurations.
A primary focus is prompt engineering and identifying the behavioral nuances of various models to ensure highly accurate, production-ready infrastructure code. You'll define the strategies for interacting with AI systems, iteratively refining prompts, and establishing rigorous quality-control processes for all AI-generated output.
You'll also collaborate with engineering management and stakeholders to ensure that AI-driven infrastructure meets enterprise scalability and security standards.
Responsibilities
Lead the engineering team in leveraging AI tools to design, generate, and deploy CDN infrastructure using Terraform.
Formulate and refine complex AI prompts to consistently produce secure and optimized Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality and efficiency, adjusting prompting strategies to account for model hallucinations, nuances, and limitations.
Establish best practices, standardized workflows, and review processes for the team regarding AI interaction and prompt engineering.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define architectural requirements and translate them into effective AI directives.
Skills Requirements
Experience leading software engineering teams and managing technical infrastructure projects.
Experience with prompt engineering, demonstrating a deep understanding of the nuances, capabilities, and limitations of modern LLMs.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with practical experience using Terraform for resource deployment.
Experience reviewing, validating, and debugging AI-generated code or infrastructure configurations for production environments.
Knowledge of Content Delivery Network (CDN) concepts and cloud-based hosting environments such as Cloudflare.
Familiarity with Git and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to manage team workflows and version control.
Nice to Haves
Experience with prompt management frameworks and AI evaluation metrics to track model performance.
Experience translating and communicating complex AI and infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
Compensation & Employment Policy
Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $181,000 – $220,000 (annualized USD).
