Retail Management Trainee

Ironwood West Michigan Group is hiring a full-time Retail Management Trainee in the Kalamazoo area. This position is designed for individuals interested in developing leadership, customer service, and retail operations experience through hands-on training in a professional retail environment.
The Retail Management Trainee will work directly with customers inside established retail locations while learning daily operations, team support responsibilities, and customer experience standards. This role offers structured training and opportunities for advancement based on performance and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer support inside retail locations
- Assist customers with questions, product information, and service options
- Support daily retail operations and team activities
- Learn scheduling, team coordination, and leadership responsibilities through training
- Maintain a positive and professional customer experience
- Work with team leadership to help meet daily performance goals
- Participate in ongoing coaching and development sessions
Qualifications
- Strong communication and people skills
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing retail environment
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Leadership, customer service, retail, athletics, or internship experience is a plus
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Compensation & Benefits
- $16–$22 hourly pay based on experience
