Concrete Finisher – Heavy Civil Construction 5+ years of Experience

Ellis Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing heavy civil construction team. If you take pride in producing quality concrete work and enjoy working on commercial and infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you.
As a Concrete Finisher, you'll play a key role in building durable, high-quality concrete structures while working alongside a skilled team committed to safety, craftsmanship, and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Finish, smooth, level, and texture freshly poured concrete to project specifications
- Set grades and ensure proper concrete elevations and finishes
- Operate power trowels, screeds, saws, vibrators, and other concrete finishing equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Assist with forming, pouring, and placing concrete
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials as required
- Perform patching, repair, and restoration of concrete surfaces when needed
- Work alongside carpenters, equipment operators, and laborers to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a concrete finisher is required
- Experience in heavy civil, commercial, or municipal concrete construction preferred
- Ability to read construction drawings and grade stakes
- Experience operating concrete finishing equipment and hand tools
- Knowledge of forming, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement techniques
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail

Work Location
Based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, this position requires travel to project locations wherever work is available. Candidates must be willing to travel as needed. Per diem is provided for qualifying out-of-town projects.
