About the Role
As a CNC Machinist specializing in lathes and mills, you will play a critical role in producing precision parts and components. Your expertise in lathe and mill operations will ensure that machined products meet exact specifications and quality standards, directly impacting the efficiency and success of our production operations. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to interpret blueprints, select tools, and optimize machining processes for high-precision manufacturing.
This role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on lathe and mill proficiency, and a commitment to safety. Your work will help deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Differential 2nd shift: 2.25/h

Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and quality checks on finished parts to ensure compliance with dimensional and surface finish standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making adjustments to tooling, feeds, and speeds as necessary to optimize performance.
- Maintain accurate production records and document machine maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with strong emphasis on lathe and mill operations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of machining tools, materials, and safety procedures.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training program in CNC machining.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming and design is a plus.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- 2–3 years’ experience working with hand tools and mechanical assembly is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification from a recognized machining or manufacturing organization.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
