InGenesis is currently seeking a Child Life Assistant to work with our clients. In this role, you will assist in the provision of Child Life Services to all pediatric patients and guests.
Essential Functions
- Assist with delivery of diversion, recreation and education materials to patients and families.
- Provide additional staff coverage at special events and activities.
- Provide individual bedside activities and outreach to patients on the inpatient and outpatient units.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Assist with transportation of patients to and from program activities and/or other special events.
- Assist the Child Life Specialist in orienting and supporting pediatric volunteers.
- Deliver equipment and devices to patient rooms.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year working with children, adolescents or young adults in a health care setting or childcare setting.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, or a related field.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults through childcare, education, youth programming, recreation, or pediatric support roles.
