Project Lead Position:
Merchco Services, Inc. is a leading national provider of retail store development and services including project management, merchandising, fixture installation, graphics installation, customer millwork and logistics.
We seek only those self-sufficient individuals that are highly motivated, extremely productive and drive to produce the highest quality results in a fast paced, demanding atmosphere.
We currently have opportunities for experienced Retail Project Leads to assist with our national remodel/new store installation programs. The position requires strong management skills, attention to detail, a history of completing projects on time and under budget and a commitment to provide the best quality and service in our industry. Experience with store remodels, new store setup crews or a background in retail management is preferred. Our Project Leads are actively involved in the project execution.
The Project Lead reports to an Account Manager or Assistant Account Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to read planograms, store layouts, merchandise, and determine day to day scope of work.
- Assigns responsibilities to team members
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and customer supervisors, keeping them informed of any changes and other relevant project information.
- Must be able to assemble store fixtures and graphics.
- Qualified Project Leaders must understand profit-and-loss. Manages the project budget through tracking of expenses on a weekly basis.
- Project Leaders must possess strong problem solving and team building skills, and the ability to train team members
- Project Leaders ensure that all project-related documentation is complete, up-to-date and sent to the assigned person on time
- Project Leaders must understand and enforce company policies, procedures and safety rules
Qualifications:
- Adequate PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, etc.
- Practical knowledge and use of hand and power tools Must provide personal tools, i.e. tape measure, box blade, screwdriver, drills, saws, etc (full tool list will be provided)
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto insurance and are willing to drive up to 500 miles in a day
- Ability to climb ladders of at least 10 feet
- Must be capable of working overnight shifts
- Ability to perform daily essential physical functions, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
