Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping or dining needs in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Support food preparation tasks in café or food service areas, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food areas, and customer spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor store or restaurant premises to prevent theft or loss through active loss prevention techniques
- Upsell products or menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service environments preferred but not required; training provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, retail math, and cash balancing
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a quick service or fast-food setting
- Previous restaurant experience, grocery store familiarity, or retail math knowledge is advantageous
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude toward serving customers and supporting team members
