Responsibilities
- Interior & exterior painting (brush, roll, and spray)
- Operate airless sprayers and painting equipment
- Follow scope of work and job specifications
- Maintain clean, professional job sites
- Perform touch-ups and final detail work
- Communicate with team to ensure quality standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of residential painting systems
- Clean cut lines and consistent finishes
- Experience with multiple coatings and products
- Understanding of safety procedures on job sites
Position 2: Prep Technician (Painting Prep Specialist)Overview
We are hiring a prep technician who understands that prep is the foundation of a perfect paint job. This role is critical to ensuring long-lasting, high-quality results.
Requirements
- Experience in painting prep (preferred but not required if willing to learn fast)
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Cannot be afraid of heights
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to follow systems and move with urgency
Prep Qualifications (Residential Homes)
Must be able to perform:
- Surface cleaning and degreasing (walls, trim, doors)
- Sanding and feathering rough/peeling areas
- Scraping loose or failing paint
- Caulking cracks, joints, and gaps
- Patching holes and minor drywall repairs
- Masking and protecting floors, furniture, and fixtures
- Spot priming and full priming when required
- Identifying problem areas (water damage, stains, peeling paint)
- Job site setup and clean-up
Responsibilities
- Prepare all surfaces before painting begins
- Protect surrounding areas with proper masking
- Assist painters with setup and material handling
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Ensure all prep meets company quality standards
