Desired skills and qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or a closely related field required
- Valid Arizona school psychologist license
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Experience working with K-12 students, including those in elementary, middle, and high school
- Knowledge of special education law and IEP/504 processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological and academic evaluations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support students’ educational needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior support services as needed
- Provide consultative services to help staff implement effective interventions
- Maintain thorough records and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
