*Hourly pay will be based on experience and will be re-evaluated after a "probationary" period.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs various vehicle systems including engines (gasoline and occasionally diesel), suspension, alignments, brakes, steering components, and more.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, etc.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues.
- Effectively communicate vehicle issues and repairs to office staff so it can be properly and easily explained to customers.
Requirements
- Experience with dealership or independent shop background (3+ years preferred).
- Experience with automotive electrical diagnostics and repair preferred.
- Knowledge of/experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
