- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning surfaces, ensuring adherence to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Operate custodial equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners to ensure optimal floor care and overall facility cleanliness.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning processes.
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the safe handling of chemical agents.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment like floor buffers and other custodial tools efficiently.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
