Description:
The Chemical Blender is responsible for safely preparing, mixing, and processing chemical batches according to formulation specifications. This role ensures product quality, supports laboratory and production activities, and maintains a clean, compliant, and efficient work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Batch Preparation & Blending

Review batch specifications to determine blend requirements, including ingredients, quantities, and process parameters

Select, measure, and prepare raw materials, including oils, additives, and chemical components

Load materials into mixers or blending equipment using approved tools and procedures

Operate and adjust blending equipment, including temperature, speed, and time controls

Add ingredients during blending cycles as specified by the formulation
Quality Control & Documentation

Record material usage, batch details, and production data accurately

Draw samples, properly label them, and deliver to the laboratory for testing

Collaborate with the lab to ensure formulation accuracy and optimize blending efficiency

Learn and understand blend characteristics to support consistent product quality
Safety & Compliance

Proactively use PPE and reinforce safe work practices with others

Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Maintain compliance with company systems, metrics, and reporting expectations
Workplace Organization & Support

Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S principles

Assist with general production activities as needed to support operational flow

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
-
1–3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, blending, mixing, or a related industrial environment preferred

Basic mathematical and measurement skills, including ability to calculate weights, volumes, and ratios

Ability to read, understand, and follow written batch sheets, SOPs, and safety instructions

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with production, lab, and warehouse teams

Forklift operation experience preferred (or willingness to become certified)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed

Ability to work at heights, climb stairs, and operate equipment in a manufacturing environment

Strict adherence to PPE requirements, safety procedures, and company policies

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain consistent attendance and meet production schedules

Must successfully complete and pass Blender Certification Training upon hire

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
