We are seeking a highly motivated Project Controls Consultant specializing in nuclear projects to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex, high-stakes projects by providing expert project controls support, ensuring schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations are meticulously managed.

Client: Leading Commercial Nuclear Energy Company
Pay Range: $70/hr. to $102.00 on W2 (negotiable)
Shift: 4 days x 10 hours
Key requirement:
Experience supporting large, complex projects with a budget of $25M and up.
Earned Value Management methodology, Project Controls experience, detail variance analyses
Position Overview
Supports the Nuclear Development team with project scheduling, cost estimating, reporting, and project controls.
Responsible for project monitoring, risk identification, cost accuracy, and execution tracking.
Provides schedule, scope, and cost analysis to support project managers and leadership.
Monitors and communicates project schedule, scope, and budget changes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and project controls.
Perform budget-to-actual reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reconciliations.
Track project contingency balances and provide project financial reporting.
Support annual budgeting, month-end/year-end close activities, and budget policy updates.
Conduct detailed cost and schedule analysis to identify trends and explain variances.
Assist project managers with project controls tools, methodologies, and reporting.
Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies.
Required Skills
Strong Project Controls and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
Advanced Primavera P6 experience.
Project scheduling, cost analysis, and variance analysis expertise.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
Knowledge of project management principles and logic-driven scheduling.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree + 4 years of project controls/project management experience; OR
Associate degree + 6 years of relevant experience; OR
High School diploma/GED + 8 years of relevant experience.
Formal training in Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
Pay: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour
