The Holiday Inn Express & Suites AFA Northgate is looking for a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Houseman/Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team! In this role, you will help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests by supporting housekeeping operations, maintaining hotel cleanliness, and ensuring linens and supplies are ready for use. Team members must be flexible with their schedule, as shifts may vary and no fixed days off are guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain hotel common areas, hallways, stairways, and other assigned areas
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items
- Ensure laundry areas and equipment are kept clean, organized, and operating properly
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report concerns to management
- Assist housekeeping with maintaining clean and guest-ready rooms, including replenishing supplies, removing trash, and supporting room attendants as needed
- Restock housekeeping closets and maintain adequate supplies throughout the property
- Follow established procedures for cleaning, sanitizing, and handling laundry items
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damages, or guest concerns to the appropriate department
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests and team members
- Follow all health, safety, and company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused and able to work well with others
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of English language preferred
