Position Summary
CRFS is seeking a Loss Analysis Specialist who will be responsible for evaluating mortgage insurance claims and determining the avoidable and unavoidable losses relative to claimed amounts. This service helps our clients to recognize and recover additional funds by identifying opportunities to file supplemental claims while remaining in compliance with HUD and other regulations. The individual will work with the leadership team under general direction. This individual will perform their job function in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and regulations within which the company operates. This is a fully remote position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Determine the root cause for all avoidable losses and analyze multiple types of data

Prepare Loss Analysis Report that outlines the avoidable and unavoidable loss and cause of all avoidable loss and bill backs to clients

Analyze information to identify and illustrate potential trends, service level risks, and regulatory risks

Perform review of claim files to monitor for supplemental claims possibilities

Keep up to date with all client specific service requirements and revisions

Minimum of three years of hands on experience with FHA claim types including the following: Part B-E, PFS, CWCOT, SFLS and Supplementals

Knowledge of title process and title resolution, payments from HUD, interest calculations, allowable for all claimable items

Ability to access and maneuver through HUD clips, p260, and image systems such as Docuware and Lock Path preferred.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office platforms (Word, Excel etc.)

Experience working with investor’s insurers, attorneys, banks, and servicers is preferred

Experience in working in default service in key areas of foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, escrow, default cash and cashier MSP is also preferred
