Duties
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences.
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws to ensure children's safety at all times.
- Help with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers as needed.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe developmental milestones and tailor activities to meet individual needs.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly valued.
- Knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development principles, and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus.
- Classroom experience in a daycare or early learning center setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is desirable; ongoing training will be supported if needed.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members while maintaining professionalism.
