American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 17-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Albany, GA, with Siemens scanner experience required.

Acute care hospital setting with a 4-scanner MRI department, including a mobile unit
-
High-volume department averaging 30 scans per day due to long protocols
-
Inpatient volume of 10–14 patients per day and 4–8 outpatients per day on weekends
-
Studies include musculoskeletal imaging, basic neuro, abdominal/pelvic imaging, radiation oncology, and breast imaging
-
Patient population includes pacer and anesthesia patients, as well as ICU and NICU patients

MEDITECH EMR; McKesson or Change Healthcare PACS
-
Siemens scanners in use; Philips scanner acquisition in progress
-
12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday

No call or on-call requirement, though voluntary coverage may be available

No floating to other departments required

Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required

Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ARRT (MR) certification required

Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required; Philips experience preferred

Experience with Level II trauma or higher is a strong plus, as the facility operates at a Level I-like volume
-
Must be able to perform IV starts

A valid Driver's License is required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (measured from the address on their Driver's License) to be eligible for placement

Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Travel experience is preferred but not required

Radiologists are in-house during daytime hours; the majority of MRI reads are performed remotely

A full-time supervisor is on staff; a senior tech will be scheduled when a lead tech is not available

Department-specific orientation is 1–2 weeks

Black scrubs required with a black or gray jacket (no fleece); a black or gray undershirt may be worn underneath — scrubs are not provided

Holiday coverage is required on a rotational basis
-
Any time-off requests must be included at the time of initial assignment confirmation
