Performs specialized duties; including but not limited to assisting in planning and coordinating irrigation and landscape projects. May be called upon to assist in some of the daily operations of the cemetery
Qualifications:
- High school graduate with good communications skills.
- Skilled in irrigation systems and well systems, including troubleshooting
- Knowledge of the usage of herbicide and pesticide applications
- General knowledge of state and federal safety codes and regulations pertaining to specialized trade
- Ability to make reasonable and sound decisions regarding purchases
- Requires pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Requires valid driver's license and be insurable under the cemetery's auto insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, troubleshooting, repair, maintain and monitor all aspects of irrigation systems, including controllers.
- Knowledge and understanding of and/or willingness to gain the necessary knowledge, certification of herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers.
- Be able to communicate with other workers.
- Maintain grounds, buildings, tools, equipment.
- Conduct periodic safety hazard checks on all buildings, equipment, tools and grounds.
- May be called upon to assist in ground maintenance, interments or other tasks as may be required or as directed by the supervisor.
