The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Operating Room Circulating Nurse with a passion for multi-specialty care. The OR Circulating Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering safe, efficient patient care in the operating room. This role focuses on maintaining a sterile environment, advocating for the patient, and ensuring all surgical team needs are met before, during, and after procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the patient advocate throughout the perioperative experience
- Perform preoperative patient assessment, verification, and surgical site confirmation
- Ensure all required documentation, consents, and equipment are available prior to surgery
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized operating room environment
- Coordinate surgical team activities and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and obtain necessary supplies or equipment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience specifically in the circulating role (Ideally preferred; however, willing to discuss with candidate 1+ years experience)
- Setting: Previous experience in an Operating Room environment is essential.
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state
- Traits: A "can-do" attitude, a focus on clinical excellence, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, efficient surgical setting.
Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday)
