Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Control Operator for our facility, dedicated to overseeing warehouse operations with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Monitor and control warehouse distribution activities, ensuring accurate inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 to track stock levels, shipments, and procurement activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in warehouse operations, implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Manage logistics inventory, including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and materials management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on demand planning, category management, and procurement strategies.
- Analyze data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Excel data analysis, and Nielsen reports to optimize stocking levels and supply chain performance.
- Support process improvement initiatives by leveraging data mining, analytics, and supply chain analytics to enhance operational workflows.
- Oversee safety protocols related to heavy lifting and materials handling while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Facilitate negotiations with suppliers and 3PL providers to optimize costs and service levels.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics transactions, contracts, and inventory movements for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as AS400), and inventory management software.
- Demonstrated data analysis skills using Excel data analysis tools, Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, and logistics inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Familiarity with demand planning, production planning (MRP), financial modeling, pricing strategies, and merchandising concepts.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Technical proficiency in ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent platforms is highly desirable.
