Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or food handling tasks as needed to support kitchen operations and ensure timely service
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques including OpenTable reservation management is a plus
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions confidently
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards required; culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue streams
- Effective communication skills with team members and guests to foster a collaborative environment
