Position Overview
Emmy’s Dream Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Program Site Director to lead the daily operations of our school-age child care and youth development programs. The Program Site Director will oversee program implementation, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, enrollment, family engagement, and partnerships with school administration while ensuring a safe, enriching, and high-quality experience for youth and families.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee a high-quality youth development program that aligns with Emmy’s Dream Builders’ mission, vision, and contractual requirements.
- Consistently meet enrollment and Rate of Participation (ROP) goals.
- Supervise, train, evaluate, and support program staff.
- Ensure compliance with all DOH, DYCD, DOE, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage enrollment, attendance, program documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, families, school administration, and community stakeholders.
- Monitor program quality and ensure implementation of engaging educational, recreational, enrichment, and SEL activities.
- Coordinate outreach and recruitment efforts to maintain enrollment goals.
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and fiscal accountability.
- Prepare for site visits, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, Human Services, Recreation, Child Development, or a related field preferred; OR
- Associate's Degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field; OR
- School-Age Child Care (SACC) Credential or other Office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, plus two (2) years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity in a childcare program or related field; OR
- Completion of two years of college with at least eighteen (18) credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience in afterschool programs, youth services, childcare programs, summer camps, or related educational settings.
- Experience managing program staff, budgets, schedules, and daily operations.
- Demonstrated success in youth recruitment, enrollment, outreach, and family engagement.
- Experience with performance-based contracting and program reporting.
- Knowledge of School-Age Child Care (SACC) licensing requirements.
- Experience working within school-based environments and community partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DOE), and Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) regulations and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of youth development principles, social-emotional learning, and positive behavior management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model for youth, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, attendance systems, and data management platforms.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology systems.
