Job Description:
Tri-Star is a fast growing company with 4 different locations in Florida. We are seeking an experienced individual for our Tampa location. Duties includes cargo screener, forklift operation and data entry. The position starts at $18 with benefits.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English and Spanish language - any other languages is a plus
- Must be have flexibility with varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work in the sun or rain for a short period of time is necessary
- Must be able to stand for more than an hour
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work under pressure and finish tasks within a short period of time
Job Duties:
- Provide reports on shipments status and damages
- Communication with the warehouse staff and supervisors on flights priorities and times
- Be able to learn new procedures and rules in a timely manner
- Survey all work and office areas for neat, clean, and orderly conditions, including all back offices. Areas must be free of debris and any other work safety hazards.
- Maintain files organized and completed.
- Adhere to all FAA, TSA, USDA, Airport, Tri-Star Safety and Security procedures.
- Complete daily briefings with supervisors.
- Challenge any unauthorized person entering non-public areas.
- Screen of cargo equipment as outlined by TSA
- Identify prohibited objects in cargo by use of methodology outlined by the TSA
- Preparing required reports, forms, and records as required by Tri-Star and the Transportation Security Administration
- Physically inspect the x-raying cargo, crates, and other containers as required by the Transportation Security Administration
- Verifying necessary documentation for transportation of goods as directed by the customer, Tri-Star, or the Transportation Security Administration
- Prevention of unauthorized materials entering aircraft
- Understand all TSA Regulated Material for Cargo Screening.
- Pass all Initial and Annual TSA Required Training and Testing for the use of Physical Screening, Advanced Technology X-Ray and Explosives Trace Detection.
- Understand and effectively communicate all requirements on how Cargo is Accepted and Screened.
- Demonstrate effectively all relevant Cargo Screening Procedures.
- Efficiently complete all required reporting requirements.
- Effectively communicate Procedures with Relevant Regulatory Agencies and as part of regular audits.
- Effectively communicate with relevant Management and Security Personnel in resolving issues in Cargo Screening.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
- Reports to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on size of unit.
- Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead, depending on size of unit.
