The Production Associate is a multifaceted role responsible for supporting a wide range of production, inventory, shipping, and facility operations. This position operates across multiple production lines and plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate production, packaging, and delivery of company facilities and equipment. The Production Associate maintains high standards for quality, safety, and productivity while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Essential Functions:General Production & Equipment
- Cross train on all production equipment including flavoring tumblers, GP Frac-Packer, sealers, box taper, ActionPac, Taylor, Spee-Dee, Sōvda, grinders, and label printer.
- Meet efficiency and quality standards for each production line
- Read and understand production schedules to prioritize daily tasks.
- Understand expectations for both Trade and Private Label production.
- Assist in training new associates on production processes and equipment as needed.
- Operate equipment including ladder, pallet jack and Big Joe.
- Utilize the Grafana production dashboard to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Accurately label products and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
Food Safety & Plant Sanitation
- Follow all food safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies and procedures.
- Identify and properly use food-contact-safe cleaning chemicals.
- Perform plant sanitation and sanitation tasks on all equipment; operate floor scrubber as required.
- Maintain all necessary records, including traceability logs, receiving logs, and sanitation checklists.
- Promptly report any pest sightings or food safety hazards to leadership.
- Prevent allergen and flavor cross-contact through proper handling and segregation practices.
Quality Assurance
- Accurately weigh products and ensure all weights fall within acceptable limits.
- Correctly identify grind size, roast level, and product type (flavored vs. non-flavored).
- Verify proper seals, labeling accuracy, and correct date coding on all packaged goods.
- Ensure that all labels meet company standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
Shipping, Receiving, and Deliveries
- Receiving:
- Receive incoming goods following company SOPs.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, or shortages and document findings appropriately.
- Process paperwork and stock received items, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Assist with unloading and storing green coffee trucks
- Maintain warehouse organization.
- Order Picking and Shipping:
- Accurately pick and stage products for wholesale, internal, and retail orders.
- Package goods to prevent damage during transit and ensure presentation quality.
- Prepare all shipping documentation, including packing slips, labels, and bills of lading.
- Determine appropriate shipping methods
- Prepare outgoing orders for delivery/ship/pickup.
- Deliveries:
- Safely deliver local customer orders while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and resolve delivery-related inquiries.
- Operate company vehicles and ensure compliance with chauffeur’s license requirements.
- Perform routine checks and upkeep of company delivery vehicles.
- Lift and move materials safely, including up to 135 lbs when necessary, in accordance with company safety policies.
Maintenance and Facility Operations
- Perform facility repair and maintenance as needed.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on production equipment per maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report significant maintenance needs to leadership.
- Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of office coffee equipment.
- Support upkeep of production and warehouse equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Cleaning and Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the production area.
- Follow all safety procedures when using ladders, pallet jacks, Big Joe lift, and other equipment.
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks, including vehicle and equipment upkeep.
- Contribute to a safe, hazard-free work environment by reporting concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and time management.
- Quality-focused mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Capable of lifting up to 135 lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks (bending, reaching, carrying).
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or production environments preferred.
- Familiarity with UPS or similar shipping systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Chauffeur’s license preferred for delivery responsibilities.
- Ability to perform facility maintenance, equipment repair, and office coffee equipment installation.
