About Us:
We manage a wide-range portfolio of annual residential rental properties and are looking for a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Property Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can handle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks independently.
Position Overview:
The Property Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing occupied and vacant rental units. The ideal candidate has experience in residential maintenance and is comfortable performing a wide range of repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general handyman work.
Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance and repair requests at rental properties.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues such as faucets, toilets, and minor leaks.
- Perform basic electrical work including switches, outlets, light fixtures, and ceiling fans.
- Repair doors, trim, flooring, and other interior finishes.
- Prepare vacant units for new tenants, including punch-list items and make-ready work.
- Replace appliances, locks, smoke detectors, and other property components as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
- Coordinate with management regarding work orders, materials, and project updates.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with residents.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of residential maintenance, handyman, construction, or related experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general home repair and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Own basic hand tools and equipment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work.
