Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our local team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service throughout their dining experience. You will greet guests and handle cash transactions while maintaining a positive atmosphere in our local family-owned restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner.
- Manage waitlists and take outs efficiently.
- Provide menus and explain daily specials to guests.
- Take food orders accurately and input them into the POS system.
- Process payments using POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Assist with guest inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times.
Skills
- Strong background in food service or restaurant environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally when taking orders or answering inquiries.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with guests and team members.
