Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time/ Full Time Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. This role involves supporting lead teachers in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized attention to students, particularly those with special needs. Must be 18 years or old to apply.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning environment and addressing behavioral challenges effectively.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring their unique learning needs are met.
- Facilitate small group activities that encourage collaboration and peer interaction.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in curriculum development initiatives to enhance educational offerings.
- Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere for all children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in lesson planning and classroom experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math concepts, special education strategies, and childhood development practices is beneficial.
