Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience.
- Explain menu items, answer questions, and make appropriate food and beverage recommendations.
- Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and ensure timely delivery.
- Upsell menu items, beverages, promotions, and specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Check on guests regularly and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately and provide correct change when necessary.
- Maintain clean and organized tables, dining areas, and service stations.
- Bus and reset tables quickly to prepare them for incoming guests.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, kitchen support, or other restaurant duties when needed to maintain efficient service.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with servers, hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management.
- Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, food-service, or customer-service experience is preferred.
- POS system experience is preferred.
- Fine-dining, high-volume restaurant, or nightlife experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food-safety procedures, sanitation standards, and proper food handling.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during busy service periods.
- Strong communication and guest-relations skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for processing payments, providing change, and verifying bills.
- Energetic, dependable, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to remain calm and provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
