Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
- Support medication administration in accordance with HIPAA regulations and care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary guidelines and assist residents during meal times to promote independence and social interaction
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks within resident living areas and common spaces
- Engage residents through meaningful activities that foster socialization, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, dementia care techniques, Alzheimer's care strategies, and hospice care procedures to ensure resident safety at all times
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, or memory care needs
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required
- Experience in caregiving roles involving heavy lifting, resident transfers using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment preferred
- Familiarity with care planning processes and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance is highly valued
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, families, and community partners
- Previous training or certification in CPR, first aid, or nursing assistance is advantageous
