Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by following food safety procedures, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Support the kitchen team with high-volume food production during busy service times while adhering to recipe guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients needed for pizza making and communicate supply needs promptly.
- Ensure proper handling of food products in compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering support is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques like braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling.
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in high-volume production environments.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on supporting a cohesive kitchen environment.
- Culinary experience in fine dining or casual restaurant settings is a plus, along with familiarity with dietary department practices.
