As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in our Operations team by leveraging your technical expertise, project management capabilities, and commitment to process excellence. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to lead initiatives that refine our manufacturing designs, methods, and documentation, ultimately driving improvements in product reliability, cost-effectiveness, and overall production efficiency.
Core Responsibilities

Utilize sophisticated troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques to resolve issues and maintain detailed records of findings.

Provide direct, hands-on support to the operations department.

Take the lead on projects from initial development to final delivery, ensuring long-term success in cost, quality, and scheduling.

Help ensure the production team meets quality standards by supporting the qualification and validation of equipment and specialized processes.

Develop and deploy resilient production methods to ensure process capabilities align with our operational requirements.

Create comprehensive work instructions and training materials to help staff maintain high manufacturing standards.

Leverage financial and statistical data to uncover trends that help the team reduce waste, cut lead times, and lower costs.

Implement Lean and Theory of Constraints methodologies to optimize work cells and improve key performance metrics for the entire organization.

Collaborate with external vendors to evaluate and integrate new tooling and equipment, while managing project budgets and timelines.
Required Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science in an engineering field combined with at least five years of relevant manufacturing experience, or a comparable mix of education and professional background.

A proven track record of utilizing advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies.

Demonstrate the ability to take full ownership of complex projects and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.

Foster a collaborative environment by communicating effectively across departments to ensure project milestones are reached.

Possess a deep understanding of Lean or TOC principles to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Prior experience working within ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing settings is highly desirable.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.

Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Experience in CAD modeling and drafting using Solidworks or similar software.

Solid grasp of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and industry drafting standards.

Familiarity with CAM software such as Esprit, MasterCam, or Partmaker is considered an asset.
