The Office of Statewide Accounting Services (SAS) is seeking a motivated energetic candidate to fill an exciting position in a fast paced environment. SAS wishes to obtain a Graduate Accountant I to assist with data modernization and financial transaction transformation.
The Graduate Accountant I will be a skilled team member that assists in our mission critical processes related to accounting, informational systems, and agency assistance.
Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide assistance and guidance to State agencies with all accounting related inquiries, including the review and approval of complex eMARS transactions.
- Provide assistance for all Fiscal Year Closeout activity of assigned agencies.
- Perform central check writing processes.
- Includes processing CWAs and CWIs, and processing EFT and check payments through to Treasury.
- Reconcile Payroll Retirement Distribution by verifying allocated payroll wage types, processing journal vouchers, and distributing reports.
- Participate in eMARS system updates and enhancements to ensure state financial data is processed and reconciled accurately.
