Schmidt Boat Lifts & Docks, a family owned & operated company since 1986, & the premier waterfront equipment manufacturer, distributor, & service company in Wisconsin is growing & currently looking to add to our team.
Schmidt Boat Lifts & Docks is currently looking to add an experienced service & install team member/barge operator at our Kaukauna store. Waterfront equipment experience is preferred, but good mechanical knowledge, good driving record, boater’s safety certification, & a desire to work outdoors are all helpful things to bring to our team. (A background in machinery operation, carpentry or construction can also be helpful due to the outdoor nature of the position.)
This is a full-time position, year round, with a small amount of layoff in winter.
A successful candidate should be able to:
-Be motivated, have a strong work ethic, & a desire to provide the best customer experience possible--in a fast paced environment.
-Responsibly use hand & power tools.
-Work with our team & take direction from teammates.
-Work in & around the water, & in waders.
-Gain knowledge of the products we work with & learn to service them.
-Lift 50+ Pounds.
Most Saturdays are required in April & May, with overtime during the spring/summer season.

Rate of pay is determined by experience & what you can offer. Starting wage is $20-30 based on barge/marine experience--with room to advance through experience & training within the company.
