Job Requirements:
As an Occupational Therapist at Purposeful Play, Inc. you will provide home-based therapeutic services to children from birth to five years old with a variety of diagnoses. You will work closely with families to
- Evaluate and treat patients' physical, cognitive, sensory discrimination and social-emotional abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) outcomes.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in a child's home environment, engaging both the child and family.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate and empower families with strategies and home programs to support their child's ongoing development.
The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy License
- Valid state drivers license and access to a car
- Illinois Early Intervention Credential (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and families
- Strong written and oral communicatin skills
