Position Summary:
Our Professional Services team provides engineering and project management support for custom manufactured systems, serving aerospace, defense, and telecommunications customers. The Switch Matrix Project Coordinator will support the Wireless Switch Matrix Program Manager with order fulfillment related to new design and repeat order switch matrices, with occasional department level tasks for the wider Electronic Measurement Group, Aerospace and Defense Division.
This individual will work directly with internal and external functions, including Project Managers (PM's), engineering, procurement, assembly, test, and business development to assure that work planning and task resources are allocated to ensure on time delivery. This is a crucial role, ensuring the successful management of project schedules and the delivery of complex systems that meet customers' design and quality standards. The projects can be fast-paced and dynamic. Independent judgment and initiative are required to understand project requirements and provide appropriate administrative support via research, data collection/tracking, analysis, and general organizational activities.

Job Responsibilities:

Set up new projects, to include Project Folder Setup/ Verification, classification, and costing details; structuring and requesting resource hours; and preparing and tracking the Quality Sign-Off Process (QSO) for projects. Consult with management and clients to identify and define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with program goals.

Attend project kick-off meetings with the project team and document important milestones and requirements. Manage overall project status, including attending regular status meetings, providing updates on action items, tracking action items, risks and providing meeting minutes when needed.

Maintain the project schedule and coordinate shipments while ensuring compliance with business system requirements. Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt timelines and manage cost to achieve maximum benefit.

Coordinate with the manufacturing team and PM to address any issues, highlight concerns, and ensure smooth production by coordinating time, resources, and necessary documentation.

Collaborate with Procurement to ensure ship dates are honored. Monitor parts for multiple concurrent projects; continuously check all material requested and ordered. Produce system generated reports, identify, and report any potential risks to the PM in a timely fashion.

Support the safety and technical writing teams by maintaining tracking reports for projects requiring safety testing, conducting regular meetings to ensure progress, and determining safety and technical writing needs. Generate manuals for modular systems.

As needed, provide internal support including research projects for Signal Networks Division (SND) and Business Development team.

Communicate with customers regarding delivery dates for switch matrix chasses; send proactive emails to verify ship date and provide shipment tracking information as needed.

Coordinate the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process with customers, if needed.

Perform any additional duties as assigned.
