Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Gallery Manager to lead the daily operations of our vibrant art gallery. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all gallery exhibitions, ensuring timely setup, maintenance, and deinstallation of artworks and artifacts

- Manage the gallery’s budget, including planning expenditures for exhibitions, programming, and operational needs
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, artists, and community partners to support fundraising efforts and expand outreach initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of collections through cataloging systems and database management tools
- Ensure the proper care and preservation of artworks by implementing curatorial object care standards and conservation practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in museum or gallery management within a nonprofit arts or cultural organization
- Strong background in collection management, cataloging, and curatorial practices
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking, presentations, and community engagement
- Demonstrated success in fundraising activities including grant proposal writing and donor cultivation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as experience with databases for collection tracking and research purposes
- Experience working with children through educational programs or classroom teaching is highly desirable
- Knowledge of historical research methods to support exhibitions and educational content development
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Customer service orientation with a friendly approach to visitor engagement
- Ability to lead teams effectively while fostering an inclusive environment
