Job Overview
The Trucksville Dog and Cat Hospital, a 2 doctor veterinary practice located in Shavertown, PA, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Practice Manager to lead our veterinary clinic to new heights of excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and drive the overall success of the practice. Responsibilities Include: Practice Operations & Leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital
- Lead and supervise all clinic staff, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support personnel, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development
- Maintain and improve hospital policies, procedures, and workflows
- Monitor staffing needs and assist with scheduling and coverage
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and veterinary industry regulations
Client Experience
- Serve as a resource for client concerns, complaints, and service recovery
- Help maintain strong client relationships
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experiences
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring practice financial performance and key metrics
- Review revenue trends, expenses, and operational reports
- Assist with inventory cost control, purchasing decisions, and vendor relationships
- Review pricing, profitability, and operational efficiencies
- Work with ownership and accounting partners on financial goals and reporting
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Oversee inventory management processes, including ordering and organization
- Maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate purchasing opportunities
- Monitor equipment needs, maintenance schedules, and replacement planning
- Ensure medical equipment and hospital supplies are maintained appropriately
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary practice management or healthcare management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with employee relations, coaching, and team development
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office preferred
