Step into an enriching opportunity as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting elementary students across two school locations in the Arroyo Grande, CA area. This full-time, full school year contract position focuses on providing essential speech and language services within a vibrant school community. Work three days at one campus and two days at another, delivering impactful interventions to a caseload of 55 students with mild to moderate needs.
Candidates with CCC certification are encouraged to apply, and Clinical Fellows are welcome, as professional supervision will be provided to ensure growth and support throughout the assignment. No SLPA assistance is required; you will have direct interaction with your students and collaborate closely with school teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid CA SLP license or ability to obtain
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF)
- School-based experience preferred, especially in elementary settings
- Knowledgeable in providing services to mild to moderate student populations
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of approximately 55 students across two school locations
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy for elementary students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress and services
- Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Travel between two school sites as scheduled (three days at one, two days at the second location)
- Engage with students, staff, and supervisors to promote a positive, supportive school environment
