Job Summary
We are seeking a hard working dental assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support clinical procedures, and ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and medical documentation, will help us deliver top-notch care.
Hours
- Monday 7am to 4pm
- Tuesday 7am to 4pm
- Wednesday 10am to 7pm
- Thursday 8am to 2pm
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take dental X-rays using digital imaging systems while maintaining proper aseptic techniques
- Perform vital signs assessments and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe clinical environment
- Operate advanced equipment like 3D scanners and medical imaging devices for precise diagnostics
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting and X-ray techniques
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
