Description: This is an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking a career in an innovative and high growth business. This is a full time role in TIE’s electric motor repair operations with exposure to the overall operations of the company. The successful candidate will possess mechanical curiosity, and ensure delivery of high quality parts, on time. TIE hires first for cultural fit and will train people as needed where experience might be lacking.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Skills / Qualifications:
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Curious and interested in repair and refurbishment of industrial motors
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, multi-meter, soldering and de-soldering equipment
- Demonstrated effective troubleshooting and critical thinking methods.
- Repair experience for CNC or manufacturing equipment a plus.
- Knowledge of AC and DC drives a plus.
- Experience repairing FANUC motors and electronics a plus.
- Good communications skills, both oral and written.
- Able to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Position Duties:
- Evaluate encoders, motors and robots for functionality and condition.
- Execute troubleshooting and repairs on servo, spindle motors and robots.
- Process and fulfill customer repair requests.
- Test motors with loads/system test fixtures.
- Use operating system to document all repairs and test results.
- Plan workload by monitoring production plan and requirements.
- Assist the team with any rush items that need special attention.
- Some travel may be required but limited.
