Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose medical conditions in a variety of animals, including companion animals and exotic species.
- Perform surgical procedures, including general anesthesia, veterinary surgery, and specialized treatments such as dentistry and cardiology interventions.
- Administer anesthesia using aseptic techniques, monitor animal physiology during procedures, and manage critical & intensive care cases with precision.
- Handle animal restraint and animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and treatments.
- Provide internal medicine care, including oncology, emergency medicine, and veterinary critical care services.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions to promote pet health and client satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed medical records following clinical ethical guidelines while adhering to veterinary terminology standards.
Requirements
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in veterinary medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and emergency care.
- Proficiency in animal restraint, animal catheterization, laboratory experience, and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, veterinary dentistry, and exotic animal medicine is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle dogs confidently using dog handling skills; experience with equine or other exotic animals is a plus.
- Excellent client communication skills to educate pet owners on pet care and health management.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning in veterinary practice.
- Certification or licensing as required by local regulatory authorities for practicing veterinarians.
