Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm, energetic attitude and provide exceptional service throughout their visit
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support beverage service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus
- Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation and drink service techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and balancing registers accurately
- Committed to food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to cleaning and food prep
