802 Cabinetry is a growing wholesale cabinet distributor serving kitchen and bath dealers throughout New England. We are looking for a dependable, accurate, and safety-conscious Warehouse Picker to join our fulfillment team.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately picking cabinets, cabinet components, doors, accessories, and related products according to customer sales orders and pick lists. This position verifies item numbers and quantities, inspects packaging, labels products, and stages completed orders for assembly, modification, customer pickup, or delivery.
Accuracy is extremely important because one incorrect or missing item can delay an entire customer project.
Key Responsibilities
- Review assigned pick lists and customer sales orders before beginning each order.
- Locate and pick the correct cabinet products, components, doors, moldings, fillers, panels, and accessories.
- Verify each item’s SKU, style, size, color, and quantity.
- Scan pick-list and product barcodes using a handheld scanner or warehouse system when required.
- Inspect products and packaging for visible damage before moving them to the staging area.
- Keep products from different customer orders separated at all times.
- Apply order labels and other required identification labels accurately.
- Stage completed orders in the correct area for assembly, modification, customer pickup, or delivery.
- Record the picker’s name or initials and confirm completion of each assigned pick list.
- Immediately report missing inventory, incorrect locations, damaged products, or quantity discrepancies.
- Never substitute one product for another without approval from the Fulfillment Leader or Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with palletizing, wrapping, securing, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when assigned.
- Return unused or incorrectly picked products to their correct warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory locations and help complete cycle counts when requested.
- Safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Keep aisles, racks, staging areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other warehouse and fulfillment duties as assigned.

The Warehouse Picker will be evaluated based on:

- Proper barcode scanning and documentation
- Product handling and damage prevention
- Inventory-location accuracy
- Attendance and punctuality
- Safety compliance
- Communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, order-picking, cabinetry, building-material, or distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to read and match alphanumeric SKU numbers accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and basic counting skills.
- Ability to follow written pick lists and verbal instructions.
- Comfortable using barcode scanners, smartphones, or warehouse software.
- Pallet-jack experience preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
- Dependable attendance and ability to arrive on time.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to team-lift heavier or oversized cabinets and panels.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to work safely around warehouse equipment, trucks, and storage racks.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Schedule
- Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday.
- Starting and ending times may vary depending on order volume.
- Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods.
