Duties
- Welcome patients warmly, check them in and out efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Assist dentists during procedures with chairside assisting, including taking vital signs, preparing dental instruments, and ensuring aseptic technique
- Capture digital dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Maintain accurate dental records, update patient information, and document treatment details with precision
- Support clinical staff with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and orthodontic procedures such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Manage phone calls, answer patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment reminders as a friendly dental receptionist
- Ensure the clinic’s infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization and handling of medical imaging equipment
Requirements
- Must be bilingual in English/Spanish
- Enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to learn about dental assisting and reception duties
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is a plus but not required—training will be provided
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Willingness to learn about EMR systems such as Dentrix, as well as medical coding and documentation practices
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service setting is beneficial but not necessary—full training will be provided

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
