Responsibilities for alarm technician
- Install new systems and upgrades, including burglar alarm, access control, and surveillance systems.
- Fire alarm technicians install fire alarm systems in various environments, ensuring that all components are correctly connected and comply with local building codes and regulations.
- They conduct routine inspections and tests to verify that fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors and control panels, are functioning properly. This includes cleaning devices, replacing batteries, and performing repairs as needed.
- Deliver maintenance and in-service trainings to customer
- Provide technical support and resolution to the customers
- Work during the weekend to accommodate customer or job requirements as needed.
- Escalate service problem and provide action ideas for resolution
- Manage customer expectations by quick, clear and accurate delivery of pro active action
- Has a winning attitude and willing to go the extra mile to meet or exceed the customer expectation
Qualifications for alarm technician
- A high school diploma or GED is typically required, although prior experience in electrical work or related fields is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience servicing and repairing alarm and/or electronic equipment is required
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Must have demonstrated decision making ability towards solving problems, while working under pressure and effectively communicate these solutions to co-workers and management
- Ability to handle physical work loads
- Must be a self-starter and when trained, will require minimal supervision High-degree of personal organization
- Must have demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
