Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities in various activities such as cooking, fishing, riding bikes, cleaning, movies, shopping and having fun. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Important: Please note that you will be required to use your personal vehicle for work, mileage is reimbursed. You will need to have a valid driver license and pass a background check.
Hours: Change often
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality guidelines
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
