Who you are: You will have experience in a shop setting and solid fabrication and welding skills, a desire to always improve your craft using all of the tools and equipment you’ve always wanted, and the ability to take what you see on design prints and bring them to life. .
Posted Position: This Fabrication role is critical for Van Doren Sales to support our customers and to maintain our position as the market leader. On a daily basis you will be working with your hands fabricating parts, assemblies, and equipment for fruit processing and conveyance. To be successful in the role, this person must be self-driven, motivated and able to follow detailed instructions. In this position, you report directly to the Production Manager. Requirements for this position:
· Experience in welding, metal assembly, print reading, and measuring.
· Positive attitude and willingness to work alone or in a team setting.
· Self-motivated and willingness to get a little bit better each and every day.
· A work-ethic that you are proud of.
Preferred skills:
· Have a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems preferably in the fresh fruit and vegetable processing industry
· Basic computer skills
