Description:
Position Overview: An HVAC Start-Up Technician is responsible for the initial operation and testing of newly installed HVAC systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve issues during the start-up process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-start-up inspections of HVAC systems to ensure proper installation.
- Initiate and monitor start-up procedures for HVAC equipment.
- Perform system balancing, including airflow and refrigerant charge adjustments.
- Test and calibrate controls and thermostats.
- Identify and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Perform leak detection and repair as needed.
- Document system performance and any required adjustments.
- Provide training to building occupants on HVAC system operation.
- Coordinate with installation teams and building owners.
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes.
Requirements:
- Must have 1 year of HVAC residential installer experience.
- Must have a Valid Driver's license and clean MVR report.
- Must possess the ability to own and use power tools to effectively execute HVAC jobs
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
- Ability to lift objects safely over 50 pounds, climbing, standing and kneeling.
- Ability to wear company approved personal protection equipment per local, state, federal or OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
