Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, and minor surgical interventions such as circumcisions or other outpatient surgeries
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and ready for patient care
- Collect patient information accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and document medical histories, vital signs, and treatment details with precision
- Support patient education initiatives by explaining procedures, post-care instructions, and health management tips in a clear and empathetic manner
- Answer patient phone calls.
- Manage medical documentation diligently, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Report patient conditions promptly to healthcare providers and assist with patient service tasks such as scheduling follow-up appointments or coordinating referrals
Experience
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within a healthcare environment preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management is essential
- Knowledge of medical terminology, blood sampling techniques, manual handling procedures, and medical documentation standards is required
- Prior experience working with diverse patient populations in fast-paced settings will be considered an asset
