We are a high-acuity , multi-specialty surgical practice seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to join our team.
As an out-of-network group, we provide concierge-level r patient support , helping patients navigate surgical scheduling, insurance workflows, and financial expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate surgical cases with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and surgical staff
- Manage surgical scheduling across four surgeons, including two established providers and two surgeons actively building their practices
- Guide patients through the full surgical scheduling lifecycle, including pre-operative preparation, post-operative instructions, surgical timelines, and financial expectations
- Communicate professionally with surgeons, clinical staff hospital scheduling departments, and patients
- Manage surgeon calendars, operating room block time, and high volumes of patient and facility communication
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of surgery scheduling experience (required)
- Experience scheduling cases at Cedars-Sinai strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR (preferred)
- Spanish-speaking (strongly preferred)
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and patient-focused
- Experience working with out-of-network insurance workflows or financial counseling is a plus
Performance Expectations:
- Maintain accurate surgical scheduling with minimal errors
- Coordinate surgical logistics efficiently across surgeons, hospitals, and patients
- Provide high-quality patient communication and support throughout the surgical scheduling process
